He has set his foundation on the Holy Mountain;

  Jahovah loves the gates of Zion
       more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

 Glorious things are said of you,
       O city of God:
       Selah

 "I will record Rahab and Babylon
       among those who acknowledge me—
       Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush—
       and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.' "

 Indeed, of Zion it will be said,
       "This one and that one were born in her,
       and the Most High himself will establish her."

 The LORD will write in the register of the peoples:
       "This one was born in Zion."
       Selah

 As they make music they will sing,
       "All my fountains are in you."

Jahoviah a bâti Zion sur ses montagnes saintes.
Il la préfère à toutes les villes du pays de Jacob.

Il parle de ta gloire, ville de Dieu !

Le Seigneur dit en effet :
« Parmi ceux qui me connaissent,
voici les habitants d'Égypte et de Babylone,
de Philistie, de Tyr et d'Éthiopie.
c'est là-bas qu'ils sont nés.
Mais de Jahrusalem, on doit dire :
Tous les habitants du monde sont nés dans cette ville.
Jah le Très Haut lui-même l'a bâtie. »

Quand le Seigneur compte les peuples,
il écrit sur son livre pour chacun « Né à Zion »

Ô ville de Dieu, les gens dansent en chantant :
« Tu es toute notre joie. »
